Which Dolphin Pool Cleaner Do I Have? (Identify Your Model)
Inherited a robot with the house, bought one second-hand, or the label faded years ago? Identifying which Dolphin you own matters for ordering the right filters and brushes and downloading the correct manual. Here's how to pin it down.
1. Check the label first
Every Dolphin has a specification sticker — usually on the underside of the robot or on the power supply. It carries the model name and, crucially, the part/serial number, which Maytronics support or any dealer can decode instantly even for old models.
2. Identify by colour and shape
- Blue dolphin pool cleaner — the classic Maytronics blue is used across the M-Line (the M400 is the archetypal blue Dolphin) and many older residential models like the Diagnostic series.
- Yellow / orange dolphin pool cleaner — yellow means commercial: the PROX 2 and other commercial Dolphins wear yellow so staff can spot them in big pools.
- Grey / dark blue with a top window — current premium generation: M700 and M600.
- White and grey, compact — S-Series: S100, S300.
- Black/dark with fine-filter top hatch — US Nautilus family: CC, CC Plus, Supreme.
3. Match the number on the shell
Many Dolphins print the model right on the body — S100, M400, E30, T35 — small and often on the side or handle. A number alone ("dolphin 200", "dolphin 30") usually belongs to a series: 10–70 numbers are E-Series or Active, 100–300 are S-Series, 200–700 with an M are M-Line.
4. Still stuck?
Photograph the robot (top and underside) and the power supply, and either send it to us via the contact page or to a Maytronics dealer with the serial number. Once identified, find your model in the full comparison chart — every current and discontinued model links to its own page with parts and troubleshooting help.
