Where Is the Reset Button on a Dolphin Pool Cleaner? (How to Reset)

Dolphin robotic pool cleaner

Looking for the reset button on your Dolphin pool cleaner? Here's the surprise: Dolphin robots don't have a physical reset button. Maytronics designed them to be resettable through a simple power-cycle sequence on the power supply instead. It takes under a minute and clears most glitches — a robot that won't respond, a stuck cleaning cycle, or an app that's lost connection.

How to reset any Dolphin pool cleaner

  1. Press the power button off on the power supply and unplug it from the wall outlet.
  2. Wait at least 30 seconds. This lets the internal electronics fully discharge — skipping the wait is why quick off-and-on attempts often don't work.
  3. Plug the power supply back in and switch it on.
  4. Restart the cleaning cycle. The robot performs a fresh self-check and starts as if new.

Resetting Wi-Fi models (MyDolphin™ Plus app)

On app-connected models like the Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi, E50 or M700, connection problems are reset separately: power-cycle the supply as above, then in the MyDolphin™ Plus app remove the robot and pair it again following the in-app steps. Keep your phone next to the power supply during pairing — the Bluetooth handshake happens there, not at the robot.

Still not responding after a reset?

If a reset doesn't wake the robot up, work through the physical causes next: a jammed impeller, a full filter or a drive problem. Our complete Dolphin troubleshooting guide covers each check in order, and this guide covers the specific case where the robot starts and then cuts out. Persistent faults after all checks are a warranty matter — contact the dealer you bought from.
